Maxwell Trotter joined J.S. Held in September of 2023 as part of J.S. Held’s acquisition of Environmental Consultants, LLC. Maxwell works in the environmental field, specializing in industrial hygiene and earth science-related issues. He assists in completing numerous investigations, inspections, and oversight within the asbestos, lead-based paint, and indoor air quality projects. He is pursuing his bachelor’s degree in environmental studies at McKendree University.

Kelly Scribner Tuttle

Dr. Kelly Scribner Tuttle is a board-certified toxicologist (DABT) and industrial hygienist (CIH) with over 15 years of multidisciplinary experience in the fields of occupational toxicology, chemical emergency response, human and environmental toxicology, industrial hygiene, crisis communication, human health and ecological risk assessment, and exposure assessment. Dr. Tuttle has provided technical expertise for multiple projects involving chemical exposures in occupational, environmental, and consumer settings.

Kristine Tucker

Dr. Kristine A. Tucker, MD, MS, FACEP, is a physician consultant and toxicologist. Dr. Tucker is trained in the fields of emergency medicine and toxicology, with more than 20 years of experience as an emergency physician and more than 30 years of experience in toxicology. She has practiced and taught in academic and community hospital emergency departments, including Level I Trauma centers, urban/suburban/rural community hospitals, and remote critical access hospitals. Her scope of clinical practice includes but is not limited to the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment/resuscitation of cases related to trauma, sepsis, cardiac arrest, stroke, poisonings/overdoses, infectious diseases, and oncologic, pediatric, obstetric, and psychiatric emergencies. Dr. Tucker also has extensive clinical experience with exposures related to toxic chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and polypharmacy, illicit drug exposures, and overdoses, as well as occupational and environmental exposures. Dr. Tucker has provided expert services as a consulting physician and toxicologist.

Heather Klintworth

Dr. Heather Klintworth specializes in human health risk assessments for a variety of chemicals, including personal care products, pharmaceuticals, and pesticides. Dr. Klintworth provides technical assistance in legal cases regarding toxicological exposures to drugs, alcohol, and other chemical and biological constituents. This includes defining toxicity, hazard and risk, dose-response evaluation, duration of exposure, and evaluation of toxicity data to assess the likelihood of adverse effects. Dr. Klintworth conducts comprehensive toxicity assessments for extractables / leachables in drug products for use in regulatory submissions using available toxicological data, read-across strategies, and QSAR analysis. She also conducts risk assessments for Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) and Letter of No Objection regulatory submissions to the US FDA and Health Canada, respectively.

Dr. Baylor Steele is a toxicologist with expertise in evaluating the potential human health and ecological effects of exposure to various chemicals, including pesticides, industrial compounds, metals, and pharmaceuticals. He has training and experience in conducting risk assessments, performing cancer and non-cancer hazard evaluations, preparing product safety assessments, and performing chemical exposure assessments. Dr. Steele has provided toxicology and risk assessment support for environmental remediation, product registration, regulatory rulings, and contaminated land investigation.

Luke Erdley serves as a project technician, traveling to support major remediation efforts and wetland delineations while providing multidisciplinary field expertise across environmental assignments. He has experience in soil and groundwater remediation, supporting projects involving hazardous chemical transfers, environmental cleanup activities, and the transport of dangerous materials. This also includes horizontal and vertical gravel‑bed reactions, ion‑exchange systems, and glycerin injection.
