Sergio Honl has more than 30 years of environmental and regulatory experience, including more than 20 years of direct experience in the insurance industry. Sergio is well-versed in the NJDEP technical regulations, having worked for the state of New Jersey as an NJDEP Case Manager and environmental consultant for eight years. Sergio has worked on hundreds of UST, mold, and emergency response claims while an engineer at AIG. He is a licensed mold assessor and asbestos inspector. Sergio has provided mold versus water damage assessments, asbestos abatement versus remediation assessments for insurance companies. He has also been active in providing cost control for Emergency Response claims and is an expert on reasonable and customary costs for such services for loss control offered to insurance companies. Sergio has also supported underwriting, having conducted phone and desktop surveys and site visits for underwriting. Through this experience, Sergio is adept at quickly analyzing remedial strategies, evaluating site risk, assessing pollution source and timing for coverage determination, and recommending the most effective and timely remedial options to achieve regulatory and claims resolution.
Keith Hostetler has over 35 years of experience in product safety, toxicology, and regulatory affairs, focusing on the safe and lawful use of chemicals, consumer products, and food ingredients in commerce. He has extensive experience working with a European-based multinational specialty chemical company and a privately held product protection company, and has served as a senior toxicologist and regulatory expert in consulting roles. Dr. Hostetler has managed a wide range of complex projects for companies and consortia, including efforts supporting new and existing registrations for pesticides and disinfectant active ingredients in the US and in Europe.
Dr. Sarvenaz Vandyousefi is a licensed Registered Dietitian and Senior Managing Food & Nutrition Scientist Consultant at J.S. Held, specializing in food safety, nutrition science, and regulatory affairs. She holds a Ph.D. in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin and brings deep expertise in obesity research, dietary intake assessment, and human health risk evaluation.
Anna Strimas specializes in environmental investigations, leveraging her background in biology and geochemistry to provide a holistic and integrated approach to addressing environmental concerns and regulatory compliance. She began her career as an environmental consultant in 2004 and contributed to post-Hurricane Katrina environmental investigations, including sampling and remediation efforts. Anna has participated in, completed, or led over 1,000 Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, more than 100 Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, and 20+ Risk Evaluation/Corrective Action Plans.
