Bob has trained, supervised, and managed a diversified staff of industrial hygiene, environmental, and safety professionals as the founder and technical director of Leighton Associates, Inc., an environmental health and safety consulting firm specializing in construction projects, indoor air quality, and the investigation, assessment, and remediation of environmental health and safety matters in real estate, property management, and property insurance claims, as well as environmental health interventions.
Dr. Bruce Kelman has more than 40 years of experience in toxicology across the United States, Canada, South Korea, and the United Kingdom. He has been a consultant and expert in numerous investigations across North America, South Korea, and the United Kingdom. He has evaluated numerous claims of personal injury and health impacts from many chemicals and drugs. He has presented various health risk concepts to policymakers, government regulators, citizen groups, and individuals.
Dr. Allison Stock is an internationally known toxicologist with 25 years of toxicological, epidemiological, regulatory, and environmental experience. Her background is supported by experience in the federal and state government as well as private industry (small and Fortune 500 companies).
John is a Senior Vice President and a Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) in New Jersey with over 33 years of professional experience in public and private environmental sectors. John has extensive experience in managing a wide variety of projects involving the Resource Conservation & Recovery Act (RCRA), the Industrial Site Recovery Act (ISRA), Brownfields, underground storage tanks (USTs), and state voluntary cleanup programs. He has overseen complex soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion remediations, as well as due diligence reviews and land-use issues, including wetlands, flood plain management, threatened and endangered species surveys, and ecological risk assessments.
Paul Banks has 30 years of experience in environmental services including various leadership positions for global firms. His proven tenure within environmental service includes organizational development and leadership across all practices, compliance and management system design, risk management, complex site assessment and remediation, and litigation support. Throughout his career, Paul has been engaged in both domestic and international projects by clients in the manufacturing, chemical, power, oil & gas, and public sectors.
John is a Senior Vice President at J.S. Held and leads the Energy & Environmental Advisory service line within our Environmental, Health & Safety practice. With over 40 years of domestic and international industry experience, John has spent much of his career in the power sector, with expertise ranging from hydroelectric, fossil, nuclear, wind, and solar generation as well as transmission facilities, system reliability, capital investment assessment, generation mix analysis, finance, equipment selection, and load profiles. His project management experience spans North America, Africa, China, Vietnam, and Kazakhstan.
Jeffrey W. Anderson, CHMM, LSRP, has directly managed over $100 million in environmental projects over 28 years, focusing on consulting and remediation services for utilities, oil companies, businesses, and government organizations. Notable projects include handling the technical aspects of nearly a dozen former manufactured gas plant remediation projects and managing the environmental liability/facility compliance for 250 commercial petroleum service stations and facilities impacted by chemical usage involving a major oil company. Anderson has extensive experience in remediation contract management, environmental site assessments, soil, bedrock and groundwater investigations, multi-site monitoring plan implementation and site closure, as well as in asbestos and mold survey and abatement services.
John Peiserich specializes in environmental risk and compliance. With over 30 years of experience, John provides consulting and expert services for heavy industry and law firms throughout the country with a focus on Oil & Gas, Energy, and Public Utilities, including serving as an expert witness in arbitration proceedings and in state and federal courts. He has extensive experience evaluating the risk associated with potential and ongoing compliance obligations, developing strategies around those obligations, and working to implement a client-focused compliance strategy. John has appointments as an Independent Monitor through EPA’s Suspension and Debarment Program. John routinely supports clients in a forward-facing role for rulemaking and legislative issues involving energy, environmental, Oil & Gas, and related issues. Throughout his career, John has been engaged in both domestic and international projects by clients in the manufacturing, chemical, power, oil & gas, and public sectors, including being appointed as a receiver to manage a wastewater treatment facility at the request of a state regulatory agency due to non-compliance concerns.

With over fifteen years of experience in the areas of environmental and natural resources law, Ms. Ortega provides consulting and expert services for industrial facilities and law firms throughout the country. She has extensive experience with assessing and managing potential and ongoing compliance obligations with innovative client-focused strategies in the industrial, oil & gas, manufacturing, chemical, and public sectors, including coordinating with and advising receiverships on compliant management practices. Ms. Ortega conducts environmental compliance audits, advises clients on the development of effective environmental management systems, and conducts due diligence associated with mergers and acquisitions. She routinely supports clients on rulemaking and legislative efforts focused on environmental and natural resources issues.
