His primary expertise includes the characterization of impacted sites via various soil, groundwater, and air sampling techniques; providing oversight and direction of remedial activities such as underground storage tank removal, mass excavations, and in-situ remediation programs; and developing technical and regulatory reports.
Nate Hinsperger is a Senior Geologist and Project Manager in J.S. Held's Pacific Northwest Remediation group. The Pacific Northwest Remediation Group provides services to private and public sector entities, including environmental consulting, due diligence, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, remedial design, cleanup action support, and all project regulatory documentation. He provides consulting and technical support for clients in various industries, including real estate and commercial and manufacturing operations. His primary focus is managing all aspects of environmental projects from inception to site closure.
Adam Morine is a Principal Engineer with over 27 years of experience providing consulting and engineering expertise for various clientele. Adam’s experience ranges from site investigations and feasibility studies to remediation and site closure. Adam’s focus is assessing reasonable and pragmatic solutions for sites where remedial and/or institutional and regulatory approaches are required to obtain site closure. His knowledge of site investigation, remediation, and closure techniques is often applied to litigation and cost recovery cases on behalf of private property owners, attorneys, and insurance companies. Adam has been the corporate Engineer of Record for two prior organizations.
Kory W. Johnson, MPH is an Environmental Scientist at J.S. Held with over ten years of experience in health sciences working in clinical and community health settings. He has led several public health initiatives, addressing social determinants of health and managing the impacts of infectious diseases in underserved communities. He has extensive experience analyzing health data, synthesizing research findings, and implementing evidence-based interventions to promote health and safety.
Michelle Bulnes is an Environmental Scientist focusing on environmental remediation, investigation, and consulting. She has worked in several project settings, including commercial, industrial, and residential. She specializes in environmental fieldwork, which includes project-specific tasks, assessments, inspections, and groundwater, air, and soil sampling. Michelle has experience in report writing and NJDEP documentation.
Jacob Munson-Decker is a Senior Health Scientist at J.S. Held who brings nearly a decade of experience in industrial hygiene, exposure assessment, toxicology, risk assessment, sampling and analysis, risk communication, and emergency response to chemical releases.
Ahira Medalla started her career in chemical risk analysis and thirdhand exposures. Her research focused on comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography with time-of-flight mass spectrometry-based nontargeted analysis to profile novel compounds and trace organic contaminants of concern. She has implemented sample preparation techniques, including solid-phase extraction and QuEChERS, to develop standard operating procedures that attain high extract recovery in complex matrices. As an Associate Health Scientist, Ms. Medalla aims to transition from assessing potential hazards to assessing occupational, environmental, and drug exposures.
Dr. Katrina Jew is a board-certified toxicologist (DABT) with a doctorate in toxicology from the University of Rochester and a research background in nanotoxicology, neurotoxicology, and inhalation toxicology.
Dr. David Fung is a Board-Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) with ten years of professional experience in consulting. He received his PhD in Industrial Hygiene, and his principal research was on the emission of and exposure to particulate matter generated during the operation of cooking ranges.
