Makenzie Zima's experience includes conducting evaluations of the physical, chemical, and toxicological properties of chemical substances under the guidance of toxicologists and in accordance with agency screening standards, maintaining meticulous records and preparing reports/correspondence related to ongoing projects, and compiling data and scientific literature for expert reports and presentations.

Prior to joining J.S. Held, Makenzie worked with AppleTV+ as a Health Safety Supervisor during the COVID-19 pandemic. She researched and developed production-specific infection prevention and control protocols, oversaw their implementation, and maintained compliance with the protocols. She also educated other departments and oversaw the cleaning, sterilization, and disinfection processes.

Makenzie has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Doane University and a Master of Science in Toxicology from the University of Michigan.
