Brian Fitzgerald is a Senior Vice President in J.S. Held’s New York office. He has over 15 years of experience in investigative and forensic accounting. Mr. Fitzgerald specializes in the financial evaluation of damage claims involving business interruption, lost profits, inventory, product liability, and builder's risk. He has also provided analysis of business valuation, personal injury, death, and employment discharge cases.
Jennifer Engle, CPA, CFE, has been involved in preparing expert analyses, reports, and testimony on various forensic and investigative accounting matters. Her experience includes investigating and quantifying losses arising from alter ego allegations, business partnership disputes, sexual discrimination accusations, wrongful death, personal injury, patent infringement, and defamation claims, among others. Jennifer regularly provides expert witness testimony for her clients and has been admitted as an expert in both state and federal court.
Declan Tonge is a Managing Director at J.S. Held’s Madrid office, supporting projects across Europe and the UK. With over 30 years of experience in project and construction management, contract administration, claims, and dispute resolution, he has advised employers, main contractors, and subcontractors across diverse construction sectors.
Daniel Thorpe is an Executive Vice President in our Forensic Accounting - Insurance Services Practice, based in Dubai, UAE. He has over 19 years of experience, having specialised in Forensic Accounting since 2006. Before joining J.S. Held, he opened and led the regional office of another forensic accounting firm in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and has been based in Dubai for over 12 years. He has quantified some of the largest business interruption (BI), delay in start-up (DSU), and advanced loss of profit claims across the Middle East and Africa. Prior to that, he was based in London and Asia with extensive involvement in catastrophe losses in Japan following the Tohoku earthquake and extensive flooding in Thailand in 2011.
Hamish Davidson, CTP, FCBI, is a Managing Director in J.S. Held’s Strategic Advisory Group with over 30 years of experience in commercial and financial management. He has worked in commercial banking, corporate treasury, and asset management in the aviation, aerospace, and manufacturing sectors and has served as an advisor to law firms, lessors, debt and equity investors, insurance companies, privately held businesses, and commercial banks. He has also served as interim CEO, CFO, and COO for businesses in the United States and overseas.
Eric Jones is a Consultant for J.S. Held, a respected construction consulting firm whose work includes inspection of damaged buildings, methods, and costs of repair, estimating the cost of mitigation, monitoring job site progress, reviewing and reporting on contractors' invoices, and calculating the Replacement Cash Value. The firm has evaluated damage to more than 25,000 buildings and structures throughout the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, Africa, and Asia. Assignments have included commercial and industrial structures, high-tech facilities, sports stadiums, bridges, roads, railways, multi-unit structures, historic buildings, and residences. The company has evaluated damages caused by fire, windstorm, hurricane, tornado, collapse, vandalism, acts of terrorism, flood, earthquake, insect infestation, soil movement and expansion, and vehicular/aircraft impact.
Tracy has over 20 years’ management experience for international firms, providing a professional business support function including HR and general administration. Having previously worked in London and Manchester in the United Kingdom, she has been based in the Middle East for the last 12 years where she has held Director of Human Resources & Administration positions for global advisory practices, helping them to function effectively and efficiently within Asia, Middle East and Africa. | | Tracy’s role as Operations Manager within J.S. Held is key to ensure that a professional service is maintained and enhanced as the business grows across the Middle East and Asia regions. As part of the management team she ensures that appropriate resources and logistics are in place to support the business strategy.

Having previously worked in London in the United Kingdom, he has been based in the Middle East for the last 13 years where he has held senior marketing and business development positions with some of the world’s largest global law firms, helping them to expand their operations and grow revenues across practice groups and offices throughout the Middle East and North Africa region.
Oliver is a Quantity Surveyor and claims specialist with over nine years’ experience in the construction and engineering industries, providing contractual claims preparation and defense, cost control, planning and project management services to clients in the UK, UAE, KSA, Algeria, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Iraq and Africa.
Paula Durham, CFE, CCCE, is an investigations, operations, and compliance specialist with over 25 years of experience across the United States, Africa, and the Middle East. She has a robust receivership background, having served as the receiver or receivership manager for numerous matters in state and federal courts. Paula excels in providing strategic solutions to companies in transition that aim to improve profitability and liquidity while optimizing value.
