She has a robust receivership background, having served as the receiver or receivership manager for numerous matters in state and federal courts. Paula excels in providing strategic solutions to companies in transition that aim to improve profitability and liquidity while optimizing value.

Paula has decades of experience in fraud and forensic accounting, having conducted multiple fraud, FCPA, and other complex investigations. Her expertise extends to quantifying economic damages, and she has extensive experience advising on lost profits and damage calculations for numerous litigation and arbitration matters across various industries. She has been engaged in several complex engagements and has extensive expertise in compliance-related challenges.

Paula's experience in the cannabis industry is notable, having served as the Director of Operations and Compliance for a vertically integrated cannabis enterprise. She regularly assists various cannabis clients with financial and compliance investigations, lost profit and damage analyses, and M&A due diligence. Paula combines her industry knowledge with extensive expertise in receivership assignments, fraud investigations, and compliance engagements, making her a valuable asset in complex matters for clients in varying stages of distress.

Paula is a Director in the Strategic Advisory practice at J.S. Held, where she focuses on providing receivership, bankruptcy, forensic accounting, and litigation support services to clients experiencing financial distress and/or engaging in commercial disputes. She has experience in matters involving a variety of industries, including construction, restaurants, mining, oil and gas, agriculture, manufacturing, defense contracting, and cannabis.
