Travis Sommerfeld is a Senior Vice President in J.S. Held’s Building Consulting Practice, leading a regional team of experts supporting complex property damage and construction-related assignments across the United States. With over a decade of experience in construction and claims consulting, Travis specializes in damage quantification, estimating, and large-loss assessments for residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional properties.

Since joining J.S. Held in 2016, Travis has managed a wide range of consulting tasks, including project management, site monitoring, invoice analysis, and cost estimating. He currently leads the Mid-South Building Consulting practice group, overseeing operations across Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi. Travis has served as lead consultant on numerous complex projects in the US and internationally, providing executive-level advisory for major large-loss assignments, including high-net-worth residential properties, high-rises, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, hospitals, and university campuses.
