J.S. Held Acquires Shechter & Everett to Expand Forensic Accounting Capabilities for Family Law Disputes in Florida

The plant consisted of several outlying buildings. The mechanical contractor was terminated with approximately 90% completion after hundreds of design changes and doubled labor costs. The mechanical contractor requested damages exceeding $5M in additional labor, material, and extended general conditions due to project extension, scope changes, and disruption.
The owner of the project counterclaimed after its investigations indicated that there was significant faulty work. J.S. Held was engaged by the mechanical contractor’s legal counsel to provide consulting services related to construction scheduling and cost matters within the context of a dispute between the mechanical contractor, the construction manager/general contractor, and the owner. This matter was resolved via negotiation.
