The EPC contractor engaged our team to provide expert advice concerning claims related to the termination of the first-tier power plant turnkey contractor. We analyzed issues relating to the project management team’s actions before and after contractor termination, including assessment of documentation management, project oversight of the work packages and coordination, and the effort to complete work post-termination.
We assessed the reasonableness of the project management team’s actions taken to address the cost to complete, including evaluating the contracting strategy for procuring a replacement contractor in the context of the current project status and the remaining scope of work. Our team also supported critical issues involving work packages, work coordination, and project management oversight. We provided multiple written direct testimonies and worked alongside the opposing experts to prepare joint expert reports for the tribunal. The case was successfully settled just prior to the start of the hearings.
