Timothy Dowden has more than thirteen years of experience in the construction consulting industry. He has been responsible for many consulting tasks such as project management, assessing, estimating, monitoring, and auditing of collapse, fire, wind, hail, water, and flood damage claims of diverse sizes and nature. His assignments have taken him throughout the United States and Canada. He has assisted in claims on projects ranging from the renewable energy sector (solar and wind energy) to commercial construction, the hospitality sector, multi-family residences, and high-net-worth custom residences.
During Tim’s career, he has consulted on gigawatts of large-scale claims within the renewable energy sector, primarily utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV), wind turbine generators (WTG), and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS.
Tim’s diverse background in consulting assignments has given him valuable and broad insight into the nuances of various market sectors and the importance of delivering high-quality technical expertise and unparalleled client service.
Tim has spoken on severe weather, property loss, and builder’s risk claims in the renewable energy sector. He has participated in mediation, arbitration, and litigation, providing deposition testimony, expert reporting, and damage valuation.
Tim holds a BS in Business Administration from California College of San Diego, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2010, and studied Structural Engineering at UC San Diego. His project experience spans the US, Canada, and Africa.
