Dr. Steven Mitchell is an engineering consultant with over thirty years of experience in accident reconstruction, traffic, transportation, and electrical engineering. In industry, he has designed signalized intersections, developed, implemented, and evaluated traffic signal timing plans and traffic signal system installations, and evaluated highway‐rail grade crossings and systems. 

As an engineering consultant, Dr. Mitchell is involved in the forensic evaluation, investigation, and reconstruction of traffic accidents, roadway standards and their application, sight triangle requirements, and traffic signal operation. He applies the principles of design, analysis, testing, and safety to the forensic evaluation of traffic accident investigation and reconstruction involving trucks, buses, automobiles, motorcycles, bicycles, and pedestrians. Dr. Mitchell employs leading-edge technologies in preserving evidence and reconstructing accidents and is experienced in analyzing surveillance and dashcam videos, GPS data, and EDR and HVEDR data. He also has extensive experience with providing deposition and trial testimony.
