Matt Weismuller has been a construction professional for over a decade and has extensive experience with project management, general contracting, construction operations, and construction consulting. His areas of expertise include construction project planning and construction scheduling, cost evaluation and constructability. Matt offers a depth of understanding that only comes from having been intimately involved in all phases of construction: from the earliest planning and scheduling phases, to the start of foundation work, and through to final inspections. This results in high-quality analysis that benefit his clients with reliable recommendations.
Prior to joining J.S. Held, Matt was a Superintendent for Clark Construction Group, one of the nation’s top general contractors. In this role, he was responsible for leading the planning and field operations on a variety of project types from residential, to museums and office buildings throughout the Mid-Atlantic. During that time, Matt was responsible for work totaling nearly $800 million dollars in construction costs. His background helps him quickly establish rapport with stakeholders at all levels, from the contractors and schedulers to the developers and investors. This helps him quickly get to the root cause of the issue, saving his clients valuable time and resources.
Matt is a Senior Project Manager in the Builder’s Risk group who specializes in the analysis of complex claims for all types of construction projects under development. These projects may involve analysis of claimed costs, comprehensive delay analysis, preparation of cost valuations and/or period of restoration schedules, as well as development of expert reports. What sets Matt apart is his ability to help clients and stakeholders fully understand the results through his skill in translating highly technical details into easy-to-understand concepts.
