The military has more than 7,000 jobs across more than 100 functional areas and many of these jobs have a direct
civilian job equivalent.
Our veterans have demonstrated aptitude for training and skill in a wide variety of tasks and situations, which will greatly benefit our clients. It is vital for hiring managers to include transitioning and experienced veterans to their pool of candidates when looking to fill open positions. This initiative will seamlessly provide that opportunity.

J.S. Held Helping Hands was founded from our shared devotion to active corporate social responsibility. Through this commitment, we stay conscious of our impact on all aspects of society, including economic, social, and environmental matters.
Supported by a committee of J.S. Held employees, Helping Hands aims to positively influence and enhance our surrounding communities through philanthropy and volunteer efforts. This program is based on social responsibility initiatives that fall into three areas:
Since its inception, Helping Hands has allowed us to continuously support our communities, strengthen bonds between team members, and help all J.S. Held team members feel more connected to the world around us.
A pillar of our Helping Hands corporate social responsibility program is the Held’s Hero Award, which recognizes individuals within J.S. Held who represent our values and the spirit of Helping Hands. This grant program honors individual efforts that positively impact others and acknowledges the acts of service we see through time, talent, and treasure. A new recipient is named quarterly, and the winner is presented with a grant on their behalf to benefit the non-profit charity of their choice.
