J.S. Held was retained by the carrier to work with multiple claim team adjusters, engineers, accountants, contractors, risk managers, and United Nations facilities management personnel. J.S. Held's scope of work was to inspect, document, measure, calculate, and review damage to the building and facility systems.
Damage measurement included, but was not limited to, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing in the chiller plant, multiple electrical service switchgear areas, UN Post Office, UN printing facility, and building finishes throughout the facility that encompassed approximately a five-block area beneath the United Nations Plaza from 42nd street to 47th street.
