A fire of unknown origin caused a trash and recycling center to burn to the ground. As a result of this loss, the facility also had to displace workers and reroute its business to another trash and recycling center.
Our building consultant immediately inspected the site in person to review the rough order of magnitude (ROM) and quantify construction costs for repairs. Additionally, our equipment experts were engaged to evaluate large machinery such as grapplers, front-end loaders, motor control centers, etc. Our equipment team also provided an estimate of the items that needed to be replaced and those that could possibly be repaired. A J.S. Held forensic accountant was engaged to evaluate the impact of business interruption losses and extra expenses to mitigate the claim.
