Texas State Teacher Association selected J.S. Held to assist their Board and Administration in the resolution of their Headquarters Building issues. The J.S. Held team explored seven options for TSTA’s current 86,000 square-foot Headquarters Building, from a simple renovation to a major expansion, creating Class A leasing space. Because of the existing building’s location, it was determined the best option for TSTA was to sell their existing building and down size from 68,000 square feet to approximately 30,000 square feet.
With J.S. Held's coordination, the existing building was sold and an existing 30,000 square-foot building was purchased. J.S. Held's leadership provided due diligence, architect selection, interior design selection, engineer selection, budgeting, programming, and construction bids procurement for the new office building. The professional construction consulting services provided by J.S. Held will result in a modern, renovated facility with a majority of new furnishings and an endowment fund for maintenance from the sale of TSTA’s existing building.
