During construction activities, the contractor unearthed an underground storage tank that had been abandoned. J.S. Held was contracted to provide remediation oversight, coordinate remediation activities, and develop closure documents in accordance with all applicable Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality regulations.
J.S. Held conducted oversight during the removal of the underground storage tank including directing the remediation contractor, ambient air and interstitial tank air monitoring to ensure worker health and safety, confirmatory sampling, and document submittal to LDEQ. J.S. Held submitted documentation of all field activities to the LDEQ and successfully received a No Further Action At This Time (NFAATT) status regarding UST closure for the site.
