Property Damage Related to Hailstorm Impact
The Colorado Mills mall was struck by a major hailstorm that caused punctures over the entire 1.4 million square foot roof. This caused a massive amount of water damage inside the structure as the rain continued through the next week. J.S. Held was called in to monitor all emergency mitigation services and demolition activities for not only the mall structure, but also the tenant finishes of many of the stores.
This project included involvement by the environmental team for a complete moisture map as well as air quality and hazardous material testing. J.S. Held was responsible for the oversight of at least 15 separate restoration contractors as well as working with adjusters for every store. J.S. Held mobilized personnel from offices all over the country to help monitor this loss and address the needs of our clients.
