Ty Afenir specializes in property restoration projects, emphasizing water, smoke, fire, and vehicle impact damage. With over eleven years of construction experience, he consults and provides expert services to carriers, adjusters, and attorneys, including losses associated with multi-family and commercial properties, high-net-worth residential homes, private and public schools, government entities, and industrial properties. Ty has also assisted on renewable energy sites.
Ty was responsible for estimating and project managing over 900+ restoration projects while working for BELFOR Property Restoration. Ty has hands-on experience with water extractions, content pack-outs, demolition, drying equipment, mold remediation, hazardous waste removal, smoke cleanings, structural damage, and general reconstruction projects.
Since joining J.S. Held five years ago, Ty has been providing his clients with a unique perspective from a restoration contractor’s point of view, which enables him to generate fair and reasonable scope evaluations and cost estimates that all parties can agree with. His restoration experience enables him to provide competent estimates, allowing his clients to settle their claims efficiently and accurately.
Ty is an Assistant Vice President, building consultant, responsible for managing large loss files for his clients. His previous experience in restoration allows him to be an effective asset to his clients by providing detailed estimates, invoice auditing, estimate analysis, report writing, ITV estimates, ROM reports, and damage assessments.
