For a decade, she has been working with the insurance market to help clients resolve issues on complex construction, infrastructure, and engineering projects worldwide. Trudie has experience in complex losses ranging up to $500 million across numerous sectors, including energy and power, downstream oil and gas, construction, infrastructure, industrial, and mining.
Prior to joining J.S. Held, Trudie began her career as a building surveyor in the UK, then transitioned into project management and contract administration. She spent almost ten years building the Singapore office of an international consultancy that serviced insurance claims and construction disputes, handling claims across the Asia Pacific. Trudie has regularly presented on the assessment of the time element of insurance claims and authored papers on the subject.
Trudie holds a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Building Surveying from Sheffield Hallam University.
Trudie’s volunteer work encompasses serving as Head Judge for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Southeast Asia Awards in 2024, as an RICS Assessor for the Assessment of Professional Competence, and as Auditor for the Lighthouse Club Singapore.
