Thomas Weng has provided project advisory consulting services for public and private owners, general contractors, and trade and specialty contractors across many industries and project types. He focuses on advising clients regarding impacts on their project schedule, scope, and costs associated with dispute resolution and litigation support, construction cost and pricing audits, insurance claim proof of loss, and risk assessments.
Prior to construction consulting, Thomas worked as a Project Engineer in the offshore Oil & Gas industry, where he oversaw teams comprised of engineers, analysts, and drafters to implement complex, high-value subsea/offshore projects. He managed client communication, project planning, conceptual design work, engineering analysis, generation of reports/documentation, equipment assembly support/testing, and support of offshore execution in the Gulf of Mexico. Thomas has also worked onshore and offshore abroad, including the unique Southern Riser Gas Lift (SRGL) project for the Block 18 field in Angola, which used a complex suite of purpose-built tooling and installation aids involving various teams across the globe.
As a consultant to the construction industry, Thomas has advised clients on projects across various sectors, including power plants, oil and gas, LNG production, distilleries, high-rise commercial structures, residential developments, social and commercial infrastructures such as hospitals and hotels.
Thomas is a Senior Consultant in the Construction Advisory Services group and specializes in construction consulting and project advisory services for domestic and international projects. Thomas has a background in construction performance audits, cost and payment reviews, construction contract reviews, change order analysis, risk assessments, insurance claims, and dispute resolution for complex engineering projects. Thomas also provides support to industry experts in the analysis of forensic schedule delay, disruption, loss of productivity, and cost quantification.
