Theresa Chimento is an experienced environmental consultant in both the field and as a project manager and the southcentral Environmental, Health & Safety Regional Lead. Her professional experience in environmental consulting services has included all aspects of a project, from initial scope assessment and project development, initial assessments and data gathering, preparation of assessment reports and recommendations, development of remediation protocols and abatement specifications, project oversight and clearances, close-out report and final report documentation, and project management with client and contractor correspondence through the entirety of the project.

Theresa’s environmental consulting projects have included water and mold damage assessments, responses to natural disasters such as flooding and hurricanes, asbestos and lead surveys and inspections, lead risk assessments, and assessment of other hazards. Theresa is an experienced industrial hygienist having completed evaluations of indoor air quality issues, air monitoring, noise monitoring and light surveys, and emergency response for chemical hazards. She also has experience in assistance on Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, the preparation of Environmental Assessment Checklists, and National Environmental Policy Act Review (NEPA) compliance.

Additionally, her experience includes litigation support through research, site assessments, and the development of reports and presentations. As Environmental, Health & Safety Regional Lead, Theresa assists in collaboration with other regional leads in the company under the direction of the Environmental, Health & Safety Practice Lead and directly manages team leads in Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Mississippi. Theresa is responsible for ensuring the quality of client service and deliverables and maintaining the overall product QA/QC of the New Orleans office.
