Steven Warsaw joined J.S. Held in October of 2023 as part of J.S. Held's acquisition of Phoenix Management Services. Steven brings nearly 25 years of investment banking experience by managing and advising clients on complex transactions and situations within J.S. Held’s Strategic Advisory Group. His expertise spans a wide range of investment banking services, including buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, balance sheet restructurings, new financings, refinancings, recapitalizations, corporate restructurings, and divestitures, as well as public and private equity raises.

Steven has an extensive background working with public and private companies globally, focusing on transactions that involve a distinct complexity, such as tight funding or sale deadlines, enhanced leverage requirements, unusual structuring challenges, or niche businesses. He has led and executed over 100 transactions across a diverse range of industry sectors, including manufacturing, energy, transportation, consumer products, services, technology, and entertainment. Steven is an expert problem-solver with the ability to rapidly assess a situation, develop a holistic solution, and execute an approach that adds unique and measurable value in complex transactions and situations for all his clients.

Prior to joining Phoenix Management Services, Steven was a senior investment banker at Oberon Securities and Miller Tabak + Co., where he originated, executed, and marketed over $10B of M&A and financings ranging from $5M to $250M. Steven began his career working in the asset management groups of both Advest and Citigroup.

Steven obtained his B.S. in Finance and Economics from the University of Delaware. He is also a founding graduate of the University’s Corporate Governance Program and Financial Management Association.
