Sean Grant joined J.S. Held in March of 2022 as part of J.S. Held's acquisition of Ocean Tomo. Sean Grant is a Manager in the Intellectual Property Disputes Financial Expert Testimony practice at Ocean Tomo, working out of the Chicago office, a part of J.S. Held. The practice area quantifies economic damages arising from intellectual property disputes and provides general litigation support.
Mr. Grant aids in the valuation of intellectual property for companies across multiple industries by applying his knowledge to financial statement analysis, market research, and consultation in order to develop complex models for our clients. These can then be used to provide financial insight and guidance for M&A, litigation support, and financial strategies.
Prior to joining Ocean Tomo, Mr. Grant worked as a senior analyst in the valuation services industry for Kroll (previously, Duff & Phelps), assisting with purchase price allocations and arriving at a conclusion of Fair Value for Intangible and Tangible assets.
Mr. Grant holds a BBA from Loyola University Chicago – Quinlan School of Business with a focus on Finance and is a member of the Illinois Technology Association (ITA) and the Intellectual Property Owners (IPO) Association.
