Sambhav Varshney joined J.S. Held in 2021. Sambhav is an Environmental Scientist specializing in environmental site assessments and report presentation. In his roughly one year in this role, Mr. Varshney has helped over 50 residential, commercial, educational, and industrial facilities with environmental site assessments as per ASTM E1527-13 industry standards. Mr. Varshney specializes in subsurface investigations, including soil and groundwater sampling, underground and aboveground storage tank inspections, asbestos abatement, mold remediation, indoor air quality assessment, and drafting AutoCAD figures for soil and groundwater investigation. Previously, Mr. Varshney worked as a site engineer in constructing a 24 MW hydropower plant in India.
Mr. Varshney works in J.S. Held's Environmental, Health & Safety practice. Mr. Varshney’s key responsibilities include Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and Preliminary Assessments for residential, commercial, educational, and industrial facilities. Mr. Varshney performs Phase II subsurface investigations, including soil and groundwater sampling, well installations, underground and aboveground storage tank inspections, removal oversight, and closure assessments, under the legal guidance of NJDEP regulatory requirements. He assists with preparing reports and work plans for regulatory submittal, including Site Investigation Reports, Remedial Investigation Reports, Deed Notice, and other related documents by N.J.A.C 7.26 E, the Technical Requirements for Site Remediation. Mr. Varshney also assists in preparing proposals and cost estimations for projects related to asbestos abatement, mold remediation, indoor air quality, asbestos-containing material (ACM), and lead-based paints.
