Ryan Renzi specializes in structural design, analysis, and forensic investigation of buildings and other structures. He is skilled in the design, code compliance, and construction administration of new buildings, as well as renovation and retrofit projects. With over eight years of experience, Mr. Renzi has provided structural engineering services for commercial and mid-rise buildings, single-family and multi-family residential dwellings, and educational facilities.
Mr. Renzi’s experience in forensic building assessments includes, but is not limited to, the investigation of building envelope deficiencies and water infiltration; damage caused by fire, impacts, wind, hail, and earth movement; and design and construction-related deficiencies.
With J.S. Held, Mr. Renzi specializes in the forensic investigation, documentation, and repair of damaged structures. His role includes, but is not limited to, examining the cause and origin of structural failures, environmental damage, and building deficiencies; determining the extent of damage and opining on a conceptual scope of repairs; and producing professional engineering packages that can include reports, drawings or sketches, and calculations.
