Rita Kahwaji has an engineering background and over ten years of experience in the engineering and construction industry. She specializes in contractual claims for time and cost, insurance claims, contract and quantum assessments, risk management, and settlement negotiations across various sectors.
Rita has extensive commercial and contractual experience working on diverse and complex projects, including residential, industrial, governmental, hotels and leisure, commercial and retail, infrastructure, road and rail, power and regeneration, and engineering projects in the Middle East.
With significant knowledge of the various forms of standard contracts, including the FIDIC suite, Rita has been responsible for preparing and defending contractual claims for extensions of time, prolongation costs, disruption costs, acceleration costs, and matters associated with suspension and termination.
Rita's role as a Senior Consultant primarily involves preparing and defending claims concerning delay and extension of time, prolongation, disruption, acceleration, insurance claims, disputed variations, and assisting named experts on quantum analysis reports.
Rita is responsible for defining and delivering commercial strategies to meet clients' requirements, including analyzing, preparing, and resolving contractual entitlements with employers and contractors.
