Rick Mouris has worked in the construction industry since 2005 and has extensive experience in assessing buildings and structures damaged as a result of water, fire, wind, theft/vandalism, freeze, and hazardous materials. He works with insurance adjusters, contractors, architects & engineers, industrial hygienists, property owners, public adjusters, government officials, and attorneys to obtain a detailed scope of work for cost estimating, scheduling analysis, and proposal/invoice analysis related to damaged buildings and structures. Rick is often named as an appraiser and umpire in the northeastern U.S. on appraisal matters.

Richard’s background prior to building consulting includes hands-on experience constructing new residential and light commercial buildings and renovating them. Richard is a Vice President in J.S. Held’s Building Consulting practice, focusing primarily on estimating, cost analysis, dispute resolution, and project management. 

Rick graduated from Vermont Technical College with an Associate’s Degree in Construction Practice and then from Central Connecticut State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management.
