Dr. Payam Fallah has over 25 years of experience in mycology and indoor air quality as a consultant and expert in investigations throughout North America and the Caribbean. He is a mycologist who has evaluated mold cases involving commercial and residential buildings regarding mold growth, aerosolization and exposure, as well as fungal wood decay compromising the structural integrity of building materials.

Dr. Fallah holds a PhD from the University of Illinois and is an adjunct faculty member at McCrone Research Institute, where he teaches Introductory and Advanced Indoor Air Quality classes to students hailing from North America, Asia, Europe, Australia, and the Caribbean. His professional affiliations include the Mycological Society of America, the British Mycological Society, the Pan-American Aerobiology Association, and the American Industrial Hygiene Association.

Dr. Fallah is the director of the microanalytical laboratory (mold/fungal, soot/combustion, and dust particle analysis and result interpretation) at J.S. Held. He is a consultant and expert in mold litigations regarding indoor air quality (IAQ) issues and works closely with insurance company adjusters regarding mold claims.
