Read MoreNick Potkalesky is a Project Manager with over 12 years of experience in environmental remediation. He specializes in complex remedial cases at commercial and industrial properties where many contaminants and areas of concern need to be addressed. He also works on legacy sites to achieve regulatory compliance. While working with an incredibly talented team from the Summit, New Jersey office, it is his privilege to help clients navigate the dynamic landscape of environmental compliance.
Nick began his career in environmental remediation in 2007 with Brennan Environmental, Inc., which joined the J.S. Held family in February 2020. At J.S. Held, Nick continues to manage multiple clients and projects across the tri-state area, concentrating in northern New Jersey. His primary responsibilities include managing and conducting environmental assessments and site investigations, developing remedial investigation plans, and overseeing remediation activities for sites with several contaminants in multiple media. Nick has extensive experience conducting and overseeing investigation activities that include, monitoring well and soil boring installation, soil, groundwater, sediment, and vapor intrusion sampling, and direct sensing technologies. Nick also has vast experience conducting and overseeing due diligence activities. In his role as a Project Manager, Nick is responsible for project supervision, including contract and resource management, and working closely with clients to achieve their environmental goals. He also provides mentoring, training, and technical consultation to staff scientists and project managers as it relates to site assessment and remedial services.
Nick holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management and Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology. As a New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professional, he is responsible for overseeing the remediation of contaminated sites in New Jersey and currently holds Underground Storage Tank Closure and Subsurface Evaluator licenses under the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. Nick’s experience in the environmental consulting industry brings a unique perspective and a broad set of skills to each project.
