Mike Agah has nearly 30 years of experience in oil, gas, pipe manufacturing, forensics engineering, and fire investigation projects. His career encompasses significant roles in operational plants and EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) firms. Mr. Agah is committed to a practical approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting, specializing in diagnosing and resolving electrical/mechanical equipment failures, remediating damaged infrastructure, and performing cost estimations. Mr. Agah also has extensive experience with various industrial, commercial, and residential electrical installations. Leveraging his vast knowledge of building systems, Mike has established a reputation as a distinguished forensic investigator within the insurance industry.

Mr. Agah is licensed as a professional engineer in Ontario and Alberta and holds a Master Electrician certificate in Alberta. His professional duties have spanned electrical and mechanical investigations, remediation, and comprehensive project management.

As the Director of Electrical Engineering and Fire Investigation, Mr. Agah actively contributes to developing and completing forensic engineering projects in Canada. He has extensive involvement in numerous engineering projects and has consulted on major and complex insurance losses throughout the company. Mr. Agah has led over 550 of nearly 700 forensic and fire origin and cause investigations.

Mr. Agah collaborates closely with a multidisciplinary team of forensic investigators and engineering experts to conduct property loss investigations, verify the cause of damages to structural and mechanical components, and evaluate their condition using appropriate field and lab failure examination methods. He has successfully assessed several machinery and equipment loss accidents/breakdowns and defined the scope of work for restoring or replacing electrical components damaged in industrial and manufacturing plants and commercial and residential buildings.

Mr. Agah leads and supervises investigations of fire, explosion, and vehicle fire incidents, ensuring they meet industry standards and legal requirements. His duties include on-site examinations, evidence collection, analysis, and reporting. Mike collaborates with forensic investigators, engineers, insurance adjusters, and law enforcement, providing expert consultation and assisting legal teams. Additionally, he oversees team training, develops investigation policies, ensures quality assurance, and recommends preventive measures. His effective communication with all parties and handling of public relations related to fire and explosion incidents are key aspects of his role.
