Marylou Avalos joined J.S. Held in January of 2024 as part of J.S. Held's acquisition of Forensic Resolutions, Inc.

Marylou Avalos has almost a decade of combined experience in financial services and operational procedures. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus in Accounting and Finance from Saint Joseph’s University. Upon graduation, she was awarded the Alumni Association Award in recognition of her achievement of contributions to the university community during her undergraduate studies. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

Marylou has experience in risk analysis, fraud monitoring, reporting, reconciliation, cash and account management, banking, tax preparation, and dispute resolution.

At Forensic Resolutions, Marylou assisted in evaluating, analyzing, investigating, and critiquing diverse claims, including personal injury and wrongful death damages, construction damages, fraud claims, professional and medical malpractice claims, piercing the corporate veil matters and business lost profit calculations, among others.

Marylou analyzes, critiques, and evaluates various claims of loss of earnings as a result of a personal injury, wrongful death, wrongful termination, or employment dispute. She works on business interruption claims, fraud claims, piercing the corporate veil matters, and business lost profit calculations, among others. Her expertise consists of analyzing various records, including legal documents, financial records, and other relevant data, to extract information relevant to economic analysis. She prepares schedules and models used in expert reports as exhibits.
