Marc-André Langevin joined J.S. Held in January of 2025 as part of J.S. Held's acquisition of Technorm Inc.
Marc-André performs regulatory compliance testing on high-rise, commercial, and industrial buildings, supervises and analyzes fire and evacuation modeling, and inspects and verifies buildings in real estate transactions.
Marc-André provides forensic expert assessments on damaged buildings and structures, bylaws upgrades, professional and civil liability matters, and personal injuries. He regularly appears in court as an expert witness.
Prior to joining J.S. Held, Marc-André Langevin joined Technorm Inc. as an engineer in 2004, becoming partner in 2005, and then President in 2011.
Between 2014 and 2024, he was an active member of the Standing Committee on Fire Protection of the Canadian Commission on Building and Fire Codes (CCBFC), mainly for elaborating Part 3 of the National Building Code. Since 2007, he is lecturer (Code du bâtiment and Sécurité incendie dans les bâtiments de grande hauteur) at École Polytechnique de Montréal.
