Lucas Widder is a Senior Consultant within J.S. Held's Building Consulting practice in the Overland Park, KS office. Lucas joined J.S. Held in 2022 and has over 10 years of experience in the construction industry specializing in estimating, project management, and onsite project monitoring. He has been involved in evaluating disasters caused by water, fire, wind, and hail. He has consulted on complex insurance losses in the United States, including high-rise office buildings, apartment complexes, Hospital and Healthcare facilities, and residential structures. Lucas began his career as a handyman, completing repairs/renovations on residential and commercial properties. While attending Middle Tennessee State University, he worked as an intern, completing BIM layouts and designs for industrial processing facilities at an architecture and engineering firm. After graduating, he transitioned to residential construction management, working as a project manager for a residential home builder, managing 10-20 homes at a time, with homes ranging from $800,000 to $2.2M. His previous broad range of construction knowledge and project management provides him with a balanced perspective and in-depth knowledge of the loss and reconstruction process.

Lucas is involved in estimating and monitoring onsite projects. He has extensive involvement in numerous major loss assignments in the United States and has consulted on large complex insurance losses, including residential homes, multi-family, commercial properties, restaurants, and hospital and healthcare facilities.
