Louis Young is an Associate Director in the Construction Advisory practice at J.S. Held based in Vancouver. With over 12 years of experience, Louis provides construction consulting and project advisory services for project owners, contractors and other stakeholders in both the private and public sectors.
Louis is fluent in English and Spanish and has worked with clients in projects in U.S., Mexico, Canada, France, South America, Central America, and the Caribbean. These projects have come across various sectors, including infrastructure, building, retail, food, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, automotive, hospitality, telecom, mining, oil and gas, metallurgical, cement, steelwork and real estate.
He has been involved in projects including schedule delay analysis, loss of productivity, and cost damage quantification and participated in various phases of claims management performing change order review, root cause analysis and contract review. He also provides onsite project monitoring work and project management oversight. Louis has also experience in risk management assessment, project controls and process improvement, and construction and financial audit services.
Prior to joining J.S. Held, Louis worked in the Infrastructure and Capital Projects practice at Deloitte Mexico as an engineer in the valuation practice and for the Engineer Construction Consulting practice at Deloitte New York. He was a key element to start and open the Construction Advisory practice in Deloitte Mexico where he was a senior manager for the Tangible Asset Valuation and Capital Projects practice.
