Lester "Les" Alexander is an Executive Vice President at J.S. Held with over four decades of experience in audit, tax, and consulting services across the United States, Canada, Chile, Germany, Spain, and the United Kingdom. He was the CEO and Chairman of AEA Group. He is a former partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and a former southeastern practice leader of one of its legacy firm's consulting practices. In recent years, his practice has focused on economic research, financial investigations, forensic accounting, and valuation services. He provides strategic financial and economic advice to parties involved in complex financial disputes and distressed company situations.
Les' clients have included publicly traded companies, privately held companies, governmental entities, and tax-exempt entities. He has advised governing bodies overseeing companies in the start-up/growth, mature, and restructuring phases of operational development. He has provided these services to governing bodies overseeing companies operating in various industries.
Les previously held leadership roles at PwC and its legacy firm, Coopers & Lybrand, where he served as a partner and led the southeastern litigation support consulting practice. His experience in both audit and advisory capacities has shaped his approach to financial analysis and dispute resolution. His academic foundation in financial principles and accounting practices supports his long-standing career in professional services and forensic consulting.
Further, he has been appointed Trustee of both Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Estates, where he made solvency determinations, pursued recoveries (including adversary proceedings in Federal and State courts), and performed the routine duties of both a Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee. Creditors and Trustees have engaged him to review the financial feasibility of plans of reorganization, investigate insider transactions, value businesses, and evaluate loan collateral.
