Lawrence Hussey joined J.S. Held in November of 2022 as part of J.S. Held's acquisition of Frostbyte Consulting.
Lawrence is a Senior Solution Architect with over twenty years of experience in the management and support of information systems across the oil and gas sector and other industries. He has led the delivery and integration of a wide range of enterprise applications for clients in the Calgary region and beyond, with a current focus on Environmental, Health, Safety, Quality (EHSQ) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) systems. His career spans multiple roles within the software development lifecycle, including architecture, analysis, development, and support, consistently applying ITIL methodologies to ensure service excellence.
In his role at J.S. Held, Lawrence applies his expertise in EHSQ software-as-a-service platforms and system integration to design scalable, future-ready solutions that promote user adoption and operational efficiency. He provides strategic consultation to clients, aligning technical implementations with business objectives, and offers mentorship to junior staff. His approach is rooted in a deep understanding of client needs, enabling him to identify opportunities for system optimization and long-term value creation.
Lawrence’s technical background includes full-stack development, GIS programming, and enterprise system integration. He has contributed to the successful deployment and support of complex software ecosystems, ensuring seamless interoperability and high system performance. His work is characterized by a strong problem-solving orientation and a commitment to delivering reliable, user-centric solutions.
He holds a diploma in Computer Engineering Technology from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, awarded in 2000, and a subsequent diploma in Computer Technology from the same institution, completed in 2004.
