Kelli Taylor is a senior structural engineer with more than 16 years of experience in project management, design, and forensic evaluation of commercial and residential structures across multiple states. She has conducted over 1,000 investigations involving structural damage from events such as collapses, fires, vehicle and tree impacts, blasting, water intrusion, foundation and drainage issues, construction defects, and environmental hazards, including earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, flooding, wind, hail, and snow/ice.
Kelli is highly experienced in technical reporting and possesses strong knowledge of building codes and construction practices. Her design experience includes developing structural plans for commercial buildings and bridges using concrete, steel, wood, masonry, metal joists, and cold-formed metal framing, with coordination across multidisciplinary teams. Her areas of expertise include structural damage assessment (wind, hail, seismic, fire, and impact), construction defects, water intrusion, foundation performance, blasting and vibration impacts, and catastrophe response across residential, commercial, and bridge structures.
Kelli earned both her Master of Science in Structural Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, graduating magna cum laude from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
