Kate Kline is an experienced project manager with various skills working in the construction industry. She is skilled at developing positive working relationships. She is extremely organized, always striving to deliver high-quality work by being thorough and maintaining excellent communication with all her team members. Her career has exposed her to working with various stakeholders in a commissioning role in a new construction that involves Owners, Consultants, General Contractors, and Sub Contractors serving Commercial, Pharmaceutical, and Public Private Partnership (P3) government. Here, she learned to work with a team of professionals to complete deliverables and documentation about commissioning activities on a wide range of projects.

Most notably, Kate excelled as a Project Manager for a multi-national General Contractor on a large commercial project for 5 years, where she managed sub-contractor trade packages with contracts totaling approximately $10 million. She was originally brought onto the team to manage the Mechanical and Electrical scope of work; however, she stepped outside of her comfort zone by managing the architectural Corten Steel Panel contract and multiple other discipline packages as the project progressed. She had many responsibilities, including contract review and interpretation, scheduling and coordination, billing review and approval, contract change management, shop drawing review and management, discipline coordination, document control, writing contract notices, and claim development. Kate also worked with the City of Toronto on all permit-related activities and MOL challenges, including separation of projects, working with union representatives to ensure trade demarcation, and acting as a liaison to maintain positive relationships with neighboring businesses.

Kate also has five months of experience working on a Canadian military base for a Facilities Maintenance contract, managing improvement projects on various equipment and systems for over 200 buildings. She used her organizational skills to accurately track up to 100 ongoing projects of varying sizes to repair or replace existing systems and equipment.
