Dr. Jun Wang brings a diverse set of skills and knowledge to the field of toxicology, with a background that encompasses computational toxicology, molecular microbiology, and hands-on experience in both the public and private sectors. His career spans academia, government agencies, and the private sector, giving him a unique perspective on applying cutting-edge techniques to complex toxicological challenges.
During his Ph.D. at the University of Tennessee and postdoctoral fellowship at the US EPA, Dr. Wang investigated chemical-biological interactions using computational modeling and high-throughput bioassays, supporting new approach methodologies (NAMs) development for endocrine disruptors. In the industry, he conducted toxicological risk assessments and biocompatibility evaluations for medical devices and supported the preclinical development of biopharmaceuticals for global regulatory submissions.
With over a decade of toxicology experience, Dr. Wang has contributed to over 15 peer-reviewed publications and currently serves as an associate editor for two toxicology journals (Ecotoxicology, Toxicology and Industrial Health).
Dr. Wang is a toxicologist in the Environmental Health and Safety practice within J.S. Held. He provides technical support for projects involving human health risk assessment, food and product safety, and microbiology.
