Josh Morris joined J.S. Held in August of 2022 following J.S. Held's acquisition of the Arcadis Contract Solutions Practice in Europe.
Josh has over 15 years of experience working on a wide range of construction and infrastructure projects, with expertise in administering and working with both standard and bespoke contract forms. Josh has specialized in dispute resolution for nearly five years and has involvement in quantum issues relating to the valuation of disputed variations, prolongation, disruption, and loss of profits claims.
Prior to specializing in dispute resolution, Josh initially started working on large-diameter gas pipeline projects and went on to gain experience as a senior quantity surveyor, commercial project manager, and contracts manager on a variety of civil engineering, infrastructure, and energy projects. His experience also includes working as a claims consultant on one of Europe's largest energy waste plants, as a commercial project manager for two offshore substations, and as a senior quantity surveyor for one of Europe's largest civil engineering/nuclear projects.
Josh has undertaken a broad range of quantity surveying duties during his career, including tendering and procurement of contracts, negotiation, preparation, assessment, and agreement of interim and final valuations, including pricing variations, financial reporting of live projects, and the analysis and agreement of various claims in respect of construction disputes.
Josh capitalizes on his broad range of project experience to provide pragmatic and impartial advice tailored to his client's requirements.
