Joel joined J.S. Held in 2018 after working as an Executive General Adjuster, Claims Manager, and large-loss adjuster for another company. Joel is experienced in large-loss damage assessment, developing the scope of work for property repair estimates on structures damaged by wind, fire, tornado, hurricane, vandalism, and hail. He has also worked for insurance companies as an appraiser and an umpire during the appraisal process.
Joel has extensive involvement in consulting and managing projects involving large hotel and resort groups along the Gulf Coast and Florida. For almost 20 years, some of his assignments have included condominiums, high-rise office and condominium buildings, retail supermarket and mall complexes, colleges and multi-building apartment complexes, commercial manufacturing buildings, hospitals, food production facilities, and custom-built residential homes.
Joel is fluent in English and Spanish. He is involved in project management, assessments, and estimate development on major complex loss assignments throughout the United States and Mexico and served in the US Air Force.
