Joel joined J.S. Held in 2018 after working as an Executive General Adjuster, Claims Manager, and large-loss adjuster for another company. Joel is experienced in large loss damage assessment, developing the scope of work for property repair estimates on structures damaged by wind, fire, tornado, hurricane, vandalism, and hail. He has worked for insurance companies as an appraiser and an umpire during the appraisal process.
Joel has extensive involvement in consulting and managing projects involving large hotel and resort groups along the Gulf Coast and Florida. Some of these assignments include condominiums, high-rise office and condominium buildings, retail supermarket and mall complexes, colleges, and multi-building apartment complexes, commercial manufacturing buildings, hospitals, food production facilities, and custom-built residential homes.
Joel is involved in project management, assessments, and estimate development on major complex loss assignments throughout the United States and Mexico and has consulted on large complex insurance losses.
