Jim has more than 29 years of industry experience, including domestic and international large loss property claims management, operations management, and sales management. He has also served as a claims examiner and insurance broker.
Prior to joining J.S. Held, Jim served as President and COO of York Specialized Loss Adjusting which achieved record growth during his tenure. While at York, Jim was influential in structuring SLA’s strategy, growth, and quality initiatives; and he was involved with the London excess and surplus lines of business, catastrophe contractor services, transportation, international loss adjusting, domestic loss adjusting, nurse case management, and their emerging middle market loss adjusting services.
Early in his career, Jim served as Senior Vice President with Marsh USA where he gained valuable insight into account management. Besides handling large complex and multi-national accounts as a property broker, he also led the NY Metro Property & Casualty sales team where he worked closely with client executives and sales professionals on securing new business.
