Jess Hipke is a registered Professional Electrical Engineer and licensed electrical contractor with extensive experience in forensic investigations, root cause analysis, and equipment failure examinations internationally. Jess specializes in electrical power distribution, battery energy storage systems, fire detection and suppression circuits, HVAC controls, and industrial control systems. He is well-versed in IBC, NFPA, NEMA, UL, and IEC codes and standards.

Jess investigates electrical and mechanical failures that result in loss of life and property, supports fire investigations, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams. His expertise includes accident reconstruction, electrical troubleshooting, and evidence collection and preservation.

Jess holds a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and an A.S. in Electrical Technologies from Northeast Community College.
