Jamie Gisevius has over 15 years of experience in the commercial construction industry, working for construction general contractors, federal remediation contractors, surety consultant firms, and construction management companies. Jamie has held positions on large commercial projects as a superintendent, senior project manager, owner's representative, construction manager, surety consultant, and quality control manager. He has been a certified construction manager specializing in construction management and surety claims throughout his career.
Jamie has been involved with constructing and managing commercial, industrial, and public works projects, including government buildings, schools, healthcare facilities, military structures, underground utilities, and sports facilities. In the area of surety consultation, Jamie is experienced in preparing re-let packages, takeover management/oversight, cost-to-complete estimates, schedule impact analyses, time impact analyses, as-planned vs. as-built schedule analyses, and exposure analyses. Jamie has managed construction projects; prepared and analyzed construction claims; performed evaluations of contractor work programs, management, and methodologies; performed surety evaluations for work in progress, cost-to-complete analysis, subcontractor ratifications, and completion and takeover agreements; quality and damage assessments; and provided litigation support for legal counsel.
As a representative of school boards after major storm events, Jamie obtained valuable insight and experience into how claims are initiated, negotiated, and executed with various private and public agencies. During this time, Jamie provided onsite construction management services, working with general contractors, subcontractors, and design specialists to complete educational facilities and government support structures.
Earlier in his career, Jamie worked as a superintendent and project manager on various projects throughout Southeast Louisiana after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. He was responsible for completing various commercial remediation, restoration, demolition, and rebuild projects. Jamie’s broad experience within all areas of the construction industry provides him with inclusive knowledge of various types of claims-related work.
