Read MoreDr. Heather Klintworth specializes in human health risk assessments for a variety of chemicals, including personal care products, pharmaceuticals, and pesticides. Dr. Klintworth provides technical assistance in legal cases regarding toxicological exposures to drugs, alcohol, and other chemical and biological constituents. This includes defining toxicity, hazard and risk, dose-response evaluation, duration of exposure, and evaluation of toxicity data to assess the likelihood of adverse effects. Dr. Klintworth conducts comprehensive toxicity assessments for extractables / leachables in drug products for use in regulatory submissions using available toxicological data, read-across strategies, and QSAR analysis. She also conducts risk assessments for Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) and Letter of No Objection regulatory submissions to the US FDA and Health Canada, respectively.
Dr. Klintworth holds a Ph.D. in toxicology and is certified in toxicology by the American Board of Toxicology.
Dr. Klintworth is a Senior Toxicologist in the Environmental Health and Safety Service Line at J.S. Held. She manages and serves as technical support for projects involved in toxicology, human health risk assessment, and derivation of acceptable exposure limits.
