Gray Beauchamp joined J.S. Held in July of 2021 as part of J.S. Held's acquisition of Kineticorp.
Gray is an expert in traffic accident reconstruction, vehicle dynamics, and driver response. He is a Professional Engineer (PE) in Colorado and an Accredited Traffic Accident Reconstructionist through ACTAR. Holding a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado, Gray has investigated and reconstructed hundreds of vehicular accidents since 2003 involving passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, trains, motorcycles, recreational vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrians.
Gray is an active member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), where he peer reviews technical papers and regularly presents his research at the annual World Congress. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, including eight in the SAE International Journal of Passenger Cars, focusing on single-vehicle loss of control accidents, tire disablements, tire mark evidence, and rollover accidents. His research often includes full-scale vehicle testing.
Gray uses his textbook, Rollover Accident Reconstruction, as an instructor for SAE's seminar on the reconstruction and analysis of rollover crashes of light vehicles. He has also guest lectured on Accident Reconstruction at the Denver Police Department and at the graduate level at the University of Colorado and Wayne State University.
Since 2009, Gray has served as a testifying engineer and case manager on vehicle crash projects and managed animation projects for various cases. He actively contributes to the Accident Reconstruction community by publishing research, peer-reviewing papers, instructing courses, and presenting his work.
