Ethan is dedicated to effective communication through visualization. He creates visualizations to explain experts’ findings to judges, juries, and attorneys. Ethan’s casework is varied, providing experience in many areas, including vehicle accident reconstruction, use of force, 3D scene reconstruction, computer simulation, animation, photogrammetry, video analysis, lighting, and visibility.
Ethan Helms has a background in computer-generated imagery from within the film and television industry, where he worked as a lead visual effects artist for feature films and episodic television. Mr. Helms utilizes his skillsets in CGI and the knowledge obtained while working in Forensic Visualization to reconstruct and explain experts’ findings through graphics. These visualizations accurately and effectively communicate technical information through various mediums, including two-dimensional, three-dimensional, and virtual reality.
