Don Rakow is a Vice President II at J.S. Held with over 25 years of industrial equipment experience. He specializes in analyzing damage to various equipment and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including complex technology claims, cyber events, and digital investigations.
Mr. Rakow has consulted with the insurance and legal communities to determine failure causation, assess damage, analyze contamination to equipment, document equipment inventory with configuration details, conduct repair vs. replacement analysis, determine RCV / ACV values, develop measures to mitigate production impact and conduct a variety of other assessments surrounding equipment and systems.
Don Rakow provides equipment analysis, project management, and on-site loss mitigation. He has extensive involvement in numerous major loss assignments throughout the United States and has consulted on large, complex insurance losses, including, but not limited to, metal fabrication facilities, corrugated box and crystal growth manufacturing facilities, and a cement terminal.
